Grimey’s New & Preloved Music, in conjunction with the Nashville Film Festival, will be offering a special free screening of Broke* on Saturday, April 16th, at 1 PM. Broke* features Mike Grimes, co-owner of Grimey’s & The Basement, who in the film shares his insights on the growing trend of venues asking bands to “pay to play”. To further celebrate National Record Store Day, Grimey’s will also host a concert festival scheduled to feature Jason Isbell, the Gabe Dixon Band, Hunx & His Punx, the Mattoid, the Carnivores, Deadstring Brothers, Ben Hall, April Smith & the Great Picture Show, and the Great Book of John. The Basement will be screening music related films all day including Better than Something: Jay Reatard, Heavy Metal Picnic, and Broke*. For more information, visit Grimey’s.
